Long Island Occupational & Environmental Health Center (LIOEHC) - The mission at the Long Island Occupational and Environmental Health Center (LIOEHC), within SUNY-Stony Brook University, is to prevent, diagnose and treat occupational and environmental disease with a unique interdisciplinary and comprehensive approach. Their team is dedicated to promote a healthy workplace and provide excellent service to their patients. They include experts in occupational medicine, nursing, industrial hygiene, and social work, in addition to our excellent administrative staff.

NYS Dept. of Labor: DOSH (Division of Safety & Health) - Protecting workers in their work environment is the responsibility of the Division of Safety and Health (DOSH). Ten separate programs plus a licensing unit come under the DOSH umbrella of protection.

OSHA - Effective Ergonomics: Strategies for Success - OSHA has a four-pronged comprehensive approach to ergonomics designed to quickly and effectively address musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in the workplace. The four segments of OSHA's strategy for reducing injuries and illnesses from MSDs in the workplace are: Guidelines, Enforcement, Outreach and Assistance and a National Advisory Committee.
