Objection to Waiving the 24-Hours Notice

Dear AME Board of Directors and Members:
I regret that several Board of Directors objected to waiving the 24-hour notice for a Special meeting, so that AME could mitigate ways to avoid member layoffs.
Therefore, a special meeting of the Board of Directors and the Negotiating Team is being called for Monday, April 27, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at AME Headquarters, for the purpose of considering a Deficit Reduction Plan.
I am confident that when we convene, the AME members' best interests will prevail.
