- Cheryl A. Felice, President
The AME Negotiating Team, led by President Cheryl A. Felice, met with the County for its third formal session of Negotiations on Monday, June 21, 2010, at AME Union Headquarters.
AME completed its formal presentation of proposals to the County with the assistance of Tom Ryan and Helen Wrobel of the law firm of O’Dwyer and Bernstien, legal counsel for AME, and provided substantial discussion and monumental justification for all proposals as presented.
AME and Suffolk have scheduled four additional sessions of negotiations to be held on the following dates:
• July 13, 2010
• September 16, 2010
• October 1, 2010
• October 27, 2010
Your Union is at work representing you, the AME membership, and will continue to report as to the ongoing status of negotiations. Please keep in mind that all issues of negotiations are subjects of mandatory bargaining and, as such, are confidential. Your Negotiating Team members are not able to provide any details, as doing so would violate the terms and conditions of the NYS Taylor Law. Know that your coworkers who serve on the AME Negotiating Team are working very diligently to provide the best representation for the entire AME membership.
We will continue to keep you informed!
