NYS Early Retirement Incentive (ERI)

In a unanimous decision by the Suffolk County Legislature Resolution #1724-10 was approved on July 7, 2010 authorizing the NYS Early Retirement Incentive (ERI) for Suffolk County employees. The County Executive maintains full authority to “target” all positions designated as ineligible to participate in the ERI. This means nearly every title in AME can submit a request for the ERI, but the County Executive maintains final authority on who will be permitted to retire under the ERI. The commencement date is July 23, 2010 and closes August 21, 2010.
